📘 Document Control
- Product: BarIno™ AgarStart™
- Application Type: Chemical Priming / Pre-Induction
- Target Species: Aquilaria malaccensis.
- Application Stage: Pre-biotic inoculation (Stage 1 – Activation Phase)
- Prepared For: Plantation Managers, Field Technicians, Agronomists
🎯 1. OBJECTIVE
To establish a standardized, safe, and effective protocol for applying BarIno™ AgarStart™ to stimulate early resin induction pathways and prepare trees for subsequent inoculation treatments.
🌳 2. TREE SELECTION CRITERIA
Only select trees that meet the following:
- Age: 4–8 years old
- DBH (Diameter at Breast Height): ≥ 8 cm
- Health Status:
- No major disease or trunk rot
- No severe pest infestation
- Moisture Condition:
- Not under drought stress
- Avoid waterlogged conditions
✅ Ideal Condition: Actively growing trees with strong vascular activity
3. MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT
🔬 Chemicals
- BarIno™ AgarStart™ solution (ready-to-use)
🛠️ Tools
- Battery or manual drill
- Drill bit: 6–8 mm diameter
- Depth guide (5–7 cm)
- Syringe (50–100 mL) or فشار injector system
- Rubber mallet (if plug sealing is used)
🧴 Consumables
- Tree plugs (wooden/plastic) or parafilm
- 70% alcohol (tool sterilization)
- Clean cloth / wipes
🧤 PPE (Mandatory)
- Gloves (chemical-resistant)
- Safety goggles
- Long sleeves / protective clothing
⚙️ 4. PRE-APPLICATION PREPARATION
- Inspect Trees
- Tag and record eligible trees
- Measure DBH and mark injection points
- Tool Sterilization
- Clean drill bits with 70% alcohol before each tree
- Solution Handling
- Shake BarIno™ AgarStart™ gently before use
- Do NOT dilute unless specified
🧬 5. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
🔩 Step 1: Drilling
- Drill holes at a downward angle (30–45°)
- Depth: 5–7 cm into the xylem
- Height: 1.0–1.5 meters from ground level
📍 Hole Distribution Pattern
- Spiral or staggered pattern around trunk
- Spacing: 10–15 cm between holes
| DBH (cm) | No. of Holes |
|---|---|
| 8–10 cm | 3–5 holes |
| 10–15 cm | 5–8 holes |
| 15–20 cm | 8–12 holes |
| >20 cm | 12–16 holes |
💉 Step 2: Injection
- Inject 10–15 mL per hole
- Ensure slow absorption (avoid overflow)
⚠️ Do not over-inject — may cause tissue necrosis
🔒 Step 3: Sealing
- Seal holes using:
- लक (wax), or
- Wooden/plastic plugs, or
- Parafilm wrap
👉 Purpose:
- Prevent contamination
- Retain solution inside xylem
⏱️ 6. POST-APPLICATION PROTOCOL
📅 Observation Timeline
- Day 7–14: Initial stress response (internal)
- Day 21–30: Early resin pathway activation
- Day 30–45: Ready for secondary inoculation
🔁 Next Step in BarIno™ System
After 30–45 days, proceed with:
- BarIno™ BioFusion™ (enzyme/microbial stage)
- BarIno™ FusaTrinity™ (fungal induction)
📊 7. MONITORING & DATA RECORDING
Record the following:
- Tree ID / Tag number
- DBH
- Number of holes applied
- Volume injected per tree
- Date of application
- Visual observations (monthly)
⚠️ 8. SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
- Avoid direct skin or eye contact
- Do not apply during heavy rain
- Prevent runoff into soil or waterways
- Store in a cool, dry place (away from sunlight)
❌ 9. COMMON ERRORS TO AVOID
- Over-drilling (weakens tree structure)
- Over-injection (causes tissue death)
- Applying on unhealthy trees
- Skipping sealing step
- Applying during extreme weather conditions
🌟 10. PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION TIPS
- Apply during early morning or late afternoon
- Combine with proper fertilization program
- Ensure adequate soil moisture before application
- Use as part of sequential induction system (not standalone)
🧠 FIELD INSIGHT (ADVANCED PRACTICE)
For high-value plantations (like your integrated systems):
👉 Use AgarStart™ as a metabolic primer, then follow with:
- Controlled fungal consortium
- Data-driven monitoring (resin mapping per tree)
This increases:
- Resin uniformity
- Oil yield per tree
- Market grade consistency (GCC export quality)
